Great place for breakfast

This place is nothing like it used to be. The food tastes like it's been sitting under a hot lamp for an hour. Service was good, but it takes good food to make a restaurant. Unfortunately I will not be returning, which is sad because it used to be my go-to breakfast place.

Lovely place for a breakfast with friends to chat. Excellent service and food quality. Definitely recommend the eggs benny.

May 24/14 - Restaurant has improved with new ownership. Had not been here for awhile as was disappointed with food & service some time ago. There was 5 of us for diner. There was a good choice of meals on the menu along with 3 specials of the day. All our meals were cooked to our satisfaction, good portions (not too little, not too much) & tasty. Waitress was brand new & made mistakes, but she tried hard and was attentive. Overall experience was good. Will come back.

Riverdale is my uncontested favorite place to get breakfast. Friendly staff and comfortable atmosphere make it feel like home, and of course the food is always spectacular.

Nothing special. Cheap/bland breakfast diner. The french server is great, love her. The other blonde one, terrible service. Forgot part of our order, and didn't fill up water or coffee once. Currently sitting here waiting for her to bring us our bill. She's walked by us and hasn't even acknowledged that we're done. We come here frequently, and usually have a good time. Again, of the two servers, one is great and one is awful.

Great service atmosphere you can enjoy

A group of ladies go here from time to time for the weekday breakfast special. One of our faves.Great service and price. No complaints from us!

Delicious Breakfast! It doesnt take long to arrive at the table, tastes good, and is reasonably priced.

Food was bland, small portions, only 1 server, washrooms are disgusting. I live a block away But i won't go back.,

Wonderful little breakfast place!

Terrible. Been there many times ans iy was fine. Went there today and waited 30 mins being ignored. Not a menu, coffee, hello or even a we are busy it may be a few mins. 2 other tables had same lack of service and got up and left as well. A simple custosy of even saying they were behind or short staffed would have gone a long way. Will not be returning.

Service and specials used to be better, now you always wait longer and the price increased. I do not like the bathrooms at all, they need to be updated but the food does taste good

I was welcomed warmly and attentively. The restaurant is very clean and the staff are all polite and ready to serve. The food I had was satisfyingly above average quality. I will return to this establishment most certainly.

It's an old people restaurant, it's nice and clean, with fair service. The menu and taste is a bit too dated for me.

Probably the best food I've had in a long time. I definitely recommend that you go and try anything because I've probably had almost all of the food there and every one of them was incredibly delicious!

This a great old fashioned restaurant in the old country diner format. Lots of boomer locals, good old fashioned food and warm service. Bacon and French Toast with eggs over easy FTW

Came here for Mothers Day lunch. Wont do it again. Took an hour for me to get my salad while my partner was already finished his soup. Then when our food came I heard the ppl behind us, who came in after us, are getting a discount because it took so long. Seriously?!?! Nope. Bad first impression. Not coming back.

As the past reviews below indicated its simple its new ownership and just basic breakfast spot.My review basically gives it abit of an up on taste but service was poor. Was advised by waiter there all out of menus so I'll need to wait( was only 6 other tables in a 50 table place..)I ordered the "riverdale eggs benedict" And was told they don't have that, so I repeated my order and she said oh sorry we do have that.Coffee was hot, food was hot and the taste was there. I'd come back again but not any time soon.Must admit never thought I'd see Kraft single cheese used for egg benidict but there's always something new.So on my way out I noticed the chef, long hair no hair net. Normally I do not leave some very negative reviews however i couldn't let this one slide. The basic of a resturaunt are clean and hot food. Cleaniness starts with your Chef period!Hopefully someone working at this location read my review.

Great staff not too bad food

If you want a good restaurant to eat at this isn't the place. Be forewarned the food came to the table cold they're severely understaffed the waitress was observed multiple times running after neglecting the chefs call for food being ready the eggs were cold the French toast was called the bacon was completely dried out and after an hour I finally got a second cup of coffee and no one ever came to refill the water. This place needs to close or they need to hire Cooks and waitresses. I will say one last thing the restaurant was very clean but after the customers had left none of the tables were cleaned up after tables were left with dirty dishes on them for half an hour or more

Nothing fancy just a good place for breakfast meetings. Standard menu items and good service. I usually have eggs bacon toast. Good parking and convenient location.

Friendly staff, fresh food, I'd say hidden gem in London.

A breakfast joint with all the possible breakfast options imaginable. I've always enjoyed their omelette specials on the weekend. They are now closed at the dinner hour. Loads of free parking.

Seems like new ownership; the food is fine, nothing special, but I wasn't impressed with the service. Requested items were not delivered, and then the server disappeared. When we finally flagged them down our request for the items originally ordered was met with a sigh and an eye roll. I used to live in London and frequently visited Riverdale. Next time I'm back in town I'll find another breakfast spot.
